Sweden became rich because of a combination of a hard-working culture, a stable society with a high level of trust, ample natural resources, good transport and harbors, a lack of war, and above all, laissez-fair economic policy with very low taxes and little State meddling (i.e the opposite of the Socialist policies … What is Norway’s main source of income? Compared to much of the rest of the world’s countries, they are very wealthy, and this is mostly due to high productivity from good education, infrastructure, and industrialization, and low levels of systemic corruption – which is a general trend around the world.
